3(a plus b) / (c) = (3a plus b) / (c)
I'm thinking it's false.
Because when you distribute 3, it distributes to both a and b.
So it'd be (3a plus 3b) / (c)
And that doesn't equal the other half of the equation...
True or false; check my work?
You're thinking is right. The distributive law for numbers is
a ( b + c ) = ab + ac
so a is ';distributed'; to b and c.True or false; check my work?
false
prove:
multiply both sides by (c)
3(a+b)=3a+b
3a+3b=3a+b
add (-3a) to both sides
3b=b
therefore it is false
You're absolutely right.
yup u r exactly rite carry on ...........
