Energy is the ability to do work = true or false?

other way around

energy can be used in many different ways

but to answer your question it's trueEnergy is the ability to do work = true or false?
Work is exercising a Force through a Distance. W=F*D. The larger the Force and the larger the Distance, the larger the Work.

Force is measured in pounds (or kilo-grams); Distance is measured in feet (or meters). Work is measured in lbs-feet (or kgr-m) the dash is a separator, not a minus sign. Example: lifting one pound one foot.

Power is exercising Work in a given Time. P=W/T. The shorter the Time, the larger the Power. Example: lifting one pound one foot in one second.

Energy is the ability of exercising Power for a given Time. E=P*T. The longer the Time, the larger the Energy. Example: lifting and lowering one pound one foot in one second and continuing to do that for as long as one hour.

Power is measured in Watts or kilo-watts (kw).

Energy is measured in kilo-watt-hour (kwh).Energy is the ability to do work = true or false?
That is the definition of energy.
True.
