What is this false Gospel of works the Catholics teach?

I've checked the NAB and the KJV and, aside from different wording, they were the same.What is this false Gospel of works the Catholics teach?
Ah yes, the infamous ';false gospel of works.'; I know exactly how that all began:

Many, many years ago in a land called R%26amp;S, a young and somewhat naive fellow named CeeJay was captured by an evil dragon named Fundah. Fundah was about three bricks shy of a full castle, which accounts for his nickname ';Mentalist.';

Now this evil dragon Fundah hated a certain group of R%26amp;S citizens known as Katholics. This tribe was protected by a wonderful person known as King Yeshua, so Fundah couldn't force them to become his servants like poor CeeJay. He attacked them again and again, but King Yeshua always kept His promise and saved His people from evil.

The more Fundah thought about this situation, the madder he got. He knew that if he attacked the Katholic fortress directly, he would soon have his dragonish clock cleaned by King Yeshua -- again. So being a nasty and devious dragon, he decided to cast a spell on his hapless servant CeeJay and the others like him.

Fundah taught his captives to parrot certain phrases such as ';Falsegospelofworks'; and ';KathlicsworshipMary,'; and then he sent them out to neighboring kingdoms to proclaim his evil messages. Some of the other kings merely laughed at their strange incantations. But some fell under the spell of CeeJay's twisted words, and they decided that they must rid the land of R%26amp;S from these foul people known as Kathlics.

Will the evil Fundah ';Mentalist'; dragon lure the other kings into attacking the Kathlic fortress? Can King Yeshua save His innocent people from the vile ';false doctrine'; spew of CeeJay and his fellow captives?

Tune in next week for the next exciting chapter of ';King Yeshua and His Victorious Kathlic Army!!';What is this false Gospel of works the Catholics teach?
It's a false witness against Christ's church that is propogated by Protestants in general and Fundies in particular. (CJ is a perfect example).

They like to claim that good works are not necessary, and that faith alone is all they need. According to them, none of the sacraments are needed! They of course ignore every single command that Christ gave in favor of the sacraments, and every single command that Christ gave for us to do good unto others.
This:

Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation.337

Fundies prefer to believe that 2/3rds of the world is burning in hell.
I have searched the bible all the way thru and I have not found this false gospel that the Catholic Church supossedly teaches. Whoever says that is bearing false witness. How can the church that Jesus Christ established in 33AD, that also compiled the bible preach a false gospel?
Catholics confess Jesus who commanded certain works

PS: When Jesus says ';Amen, Amen';, He is stressing His teaching.

John 6:34-59

34 So they said to him, ';Sir, give us this bread always.'; Jesus said to them, ';I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. But I told you that although you have seen (me), you do

not believe.

Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because

I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.

For this is the will of my Father,

that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him (on) the last day.';

The Jews murmured about him because he said, ';I am the bread that came down from heaven,'; and they said, ';Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph? Do we not know his father and mother? Then how can he say, 'I have come down from heaven'?';

Jesus answered and said to them,

';Stop murmuring among yourselves.

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day. It is written in the prophets: 'They shall all be taught by God.'

Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father.

Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.

I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.';

The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, ';How can this man give us (his) flesh to eat?'; Jesus said to them,

';Amen, amen,

I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.';

The Holy Eucharist is here in the Catholic Church in holy writ stated clearly by John.

The coming home network is for people who are tired of ignoring pertinent Scriptures and is the door for thousands of ministers and laypersons.

In conclusion, Catholics are the only ones that go by the Holy Scriptures. The Christians that claim Sola Scriptura really pick and choose the Scriptures they wish to follow, in all earnestness I might add. Lack of central authority has led to sadly 40,000+ denominations.

Lord we plead that people have the eyes to see and the ears to hear?
Hmmm, I can't find anything to refute the Catholics, either.

Now.....what about the gospel of ';faith alone';? Ah hah! Here's something that might be helpful: ';A man is justified by works and not by faith alone.'; (James 2:24)

Peace be to you all+
It's all explained in Matthew 7:21. ';Not everyone who cries out to me, 'Lord, Lord,'; will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does my father's will.'; That's the gospel of works. There's more in Matthew 25 and Luke 4.
Good Works in Sanctifying Grace are Necessary for Salvation

Neh. 13:14, Psalm 11:7,28:4, Isa. 3:10, 59:18, Jer. 25:14, 50:29, Ezek. 9:10, 11:21, 36:19, Hos. 4:9, 9:15, 12:2, Sir. 16:12,14 - The 2,000 year-old Catholic position on salvation is that we are saved by Jesus Christ and Him alone (cf. Acts 15:11; Eph. 2:5). But by the grace of Christ, we achieve the salvation God desires for us through perseverance in both faith and works. Many Protestants, on the other hand, believe that one just has to accept Jesus as personal Lord and Savior to be saved, and good works are not necessary (they just flow from those already saved). But these verses, and many others, teach us that our performance of good works is necessary for our salvation. Scripture also does not teach that good works distinguish those who are eternally saved from those who are not saved.

Sir. 35:19; Luke 23:41; John 3:19-21, Rom. 8:13, 2 Tim 4:14, Titus 3:8,14, Rev. 22:12 - these verses also teach us that we all will be judged by God according to our deeds. There is no distinction between the ';saved'; and the ';unsaved.';

1 Cor. 3:15 - if works are unnecessary for salvation as many Protestants believe, then why is a man saved (not just rewarded) through fire by a judgment of his works?

Matt. 7:1-3 - we are not judged just by faith, but actually how we judge others, and we get what we have given. Hence, we are judged according to how we responded to God's grace during our lives.

Matt. 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13 - Jesus taught that we must endure to the very end to be saved. If this is true, then how can Protestants believe in the erroneous teaching of ';Once saved, always saved?'; If salvation occurred at a specific point in time when we accepted Jesus as personal Lord and Savior, there would be no need to endure to the end. We would already be saved.

Matt. 16:27 – Jesus says He will repay every man for what he has done (works).

Matt. 25:31-46 - Jesus' teaching on the separation of the sheep from the goats is based on the works that were done during their lives, not just on their acceptance of Christ as Savior. In fact, this teaching even demonstrates that those who are ultimately saved do not necessarily have to know Christ. Also, we don’t accept Christ; He accepts us. God first makes the decision to accept us before we could ever accept Him.

Matt. 25:40,45 - Jesus says ';Whatever you did to the least of my brothers, you did it to Me.'; We are judged and our eternal destiny is determined in accordance with our works.

Mark 10:21 - Jesus says sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. This means that our salvation depends upon our works.

Luke 12:43-48 - these verses teach us that we must act according to the Lord's will. We are judged based upon what we know and then do, not just upon what we know.

Luke 14:14 – Jesus says we are repaid for the works we have done at the resurrection of the just. Our works lead to salvation.

Luke 23:41 - some Protestants argue that Jesus gave salvation to the good thief even though the thief did not do any good works. However, the good thief did in fact do a good work, which was rebuking the bad thief when he and others were reviling Jesus. This was a ';work'; which justified the good thief before Jesus and gained His favor. Moreover, we don't know if the good thief asked God for forgiveness, did works of penance and charity and was reconciled to God before he was crucified.

Rom. 2:6-10, 13 - God will judge every man according to his works. Our salvation depends on how we cooperate with God's grace.

2 Cor. 5:10 - at the judgment Seat of Christ, we are judged according to what we have done in the body, not how much faith we had.

2 Cor. 9:6 – Paul says that he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully, in connection with God’s judgment.

2 Cor. 11:15 - our end will correspond to our deeds. Our works are necessary to both our justification and salvation.

Gal. 6:7-9 – whatever a man sows, he will reap. Paul warns the Galatians not to grow weary in doing good works, for in due season they will reap (the rewards of eternal life).

Eph. 6:8 – whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same again from the Lord.

Col. 3:24-25 - we will receive due payment according to what we have done. Even so, Catholics recognize that such payment is a free unmerited gift from God borne from His boundless mercy.

1 Tim. 6:18-19 – the rich are to be rich in good deeds so that they may take hold of the life which is life indeed, that is, eternal life.

2 Tim. 4:14 – Alexander the coppersmith did Paul great harm, and Paul says the Lord will requite him for his deeds.

Heb. 6:10 - God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love which you showed for His sake. God rewards our works on earth and in heaven.

Heb. 12:14 – without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Holines
It is actually funny.

We know we are all saved through the Grace of God and his Son Jesus Christ. Catholics as well as Protestant.

How some whacked out people can actually believe that doing good things (Like Jesus did) will send us to hell but receiving Baptism at a young age and then sinning the rest of our lives will send us to Heaven.

It is very strange and working really hard to not be Catholic.

Peace and God Bless!
You mean the whole ';do good to other people, love others as yourself, etc';? thing.

Yeah, it sounds a little suspicious to me. We should focus more on judging others and finding ways to show how they are wrong. That's what Jesus was all about.
Have you read the book of James in the bible? read it and there it will say; faith without works is dead. You must have faith and good works to live. Read the Book of James. one of many patron saints.
Catholics and Lutherans and Methodists teach the same Gospel,of Grace

Check out The Joint Declaration On Justification

Catholics and Orthodox emphasize the union of faith, hope and love as we are saved by grace alone

and many Protestants( since there really is no one position on Salus Sola Fide/salvation by Faith Alone exactly means and encompasses among Protestants) do too

Catholic, Trintarian Protestant and Orthodox Christians all proclaim that salvation is by Christ alone through God's grace alone.

Catholic and Protestant Christians condemn the Pelagian Heresy (salvation by works) since the 5th century( even though protestants did not arrive until the 16th cent)

Catholics and Orthodox teach that we must cooperate with grace and that salvation begins with grace is sustaned by grace and is completeed by grace

Orthodox and eastern Catholic Christians emphasize ';theosis' ( ';engodded'; transformation by the uncreated engeries of God)
There is no Gospel of Works.

Protestants and Catholics have the same New Testament but, the Protestants took seven books out of the old testament because it didn't go with their doctrine.
Ms. Swan, Thanks for asking the question. I am sure you are now clarified. I am too learning from these maverick Catholics. Praise the Lord.
It's imaginary, therefore it's false witness.

The Catholic Church teaches Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected.

The people who make this claim are usually from some small sect of protestantism. They have the ';llittle dog complex.';

The Catholic Church is the largest of all the Christian denominations and has been in existence for 1500 yrs longer than any other.

So the image I get is of a little yappy chihuahua dog trying to nip at the heels of a 600 lb bear.
Never heard of it.
Great answer from beta_fishy

edit:

Wolfeblayde should publish hers....
You mean the Bible.
CJ can tell you. lol.
I don't really understand your question but here are some verses against works, which is what Catholics teach: Galatians 2:16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Ephesians 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Timothy 1:9  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Titus 3:5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
there is a Catholic version of the Bible that contains extra books called the ';Apocrypha';, these were not included and taken out as not being Divinely inspired books. Not sure exactly if this is what you're asking, as the Gospel is truth about Jesus.
Is the Bible God's Words? It is really important to start with this question due to the fact that it is essential to have an authentic base to start our discussion. My friend, let me be frank with you and ask you these questions:

-how many versions of the Bible are available nowadays?

-Who has the authority to make any changes in the Bible; whether deletion or addition?

-Do you know that King James' version 1611 was changed in 1952 with fifty verses changes?

-In 1971 a number of verses where deleted, who did that?

-My friend, let me make it short and ask you what would be the answer to this list of Biblical contradictions?

If you feel you can explain one or two, how are you going to explain the rest; although the following are not all the contradictions in the Bible, I am only mentioning the topics and the verses that contradict with one another:
