If a criminal gets a plea bargain to testify against another person, then gives a false testimony?

does he still get the lighter sentence his plea bargain promised?

I am asking because I read of a horrific-rape murder where the defendent took a plea bargain to avoid the death penalty. Then he basically blamed the rape on his friend who obviously wasn't present at the rape.If a criminal gets a plea bargain to testify against another person, then gives a false testimony?
In this case, the bargain is violated, he stands trial for the original charges, plus an additional charge of perjury.

And in this case... might fry.If a criminal gets a plea bargain to testify against another person, then gives a false testimony?
Typically, plea bargains are given on the promise that the truth is going to be told. If it is found that they turn around and lie then the bargain is voided.
