If you disagree, can you tell me why? Thanks.
The median is a member of the original set of data.
False
Each set of data has only one mode.
False
Circle graphs are useful for show trends but less useful for comparing parts of a whole.
False
It is possible for the mean to be less than the median.
True
Line graph is good for picturing trends and comparisons of several quantities simultaneously.
True
If the categories represent discrete values, then a histogram should be used; If the categories represent numbers that are continuous and could be regrouped in different intervals, then a bar graph should be used.
False
Scatterplot is good for picturing ordered pairs, correlations, and trends.
TrueCan someone check my work for these true/false questions?
I'm not sure about all of them, but your answers one, two, and four are correct. For the first one, the median *can be* a member of the original set of data, but it doesn't have to be (if the original set of data has an even number of members); so false is correct.
If a circle graph is the same as a pie chart (and I believe it is), then your answer to question three is correct.
