How to prove that a witness is given a false testimony?

A witness has given a false testimony of a car accident to the insurance company and they believe him. We know that he is lying. How to do to show that his testimony is not true? Can we demanding from the insurance company that they ask the witness for a notarized statement, or a declaration under oath, or a cross examination?

thank you very much

you can demand but they don't have to.

What you would want is a deposition. Unless it is a big accident the ins company won't do it. If somebody is suing for a lot of money then they will do it.

Witnesses lie all the time and everybody knows. Way it goes.

FYI a notarized statement just means they verified his signature. How to prove that a witness is given a false testimony?
Unless you have a contradicting witness or other evidence, there's not a lot you really can do. Insurance companies are pretty darned good at sniffing out fraud and inflated claims, but they're not infallible.

Good luck!
