True or False.. Can a FELONY case be expunged after a certain amount of years with good behavior?

I believe it has to be included in the sentencing that if the defendant stays clean for a certain amount of time, it can/will be reduced or expunged or removed from the record......but for a felony, where I come from, I ';think'; that would be a long shot.

Honestly, you would be better off asking a DA or defense lawyer in your area, they would have MUCH more knowledge on the subject.

What State are you asking about?True or False.. Can a FELONY case be expunged after a certain amount of years with good behavior?
The Under Sheriff of Alameda County did it with the help of old Charlie Plummer. Petition the court. If you have been an upstanding citizen and have good references (and the felony was not for drugs or other serious persons violation), you might have a chance

That is totally up to the laws of your state and the type of crime committed.

Some crimes are NEVER eligible to be expunged.

You need to contact the Attorney Generals Office in your state and find out if your crime qualifies to be looked at to be expunged. They will tell you for sure and explain the process to you.

You will need a lawyer to help you with all of the paper work and court appearances. It is very expensive to complete. It can take months and sometimes years to get it finished.
they told me i may be able too after 7 years!
I see someone mentioned a pardon. Do not confuse a pardon with an expungement, they are not the same thing.

Expungements are governed by state law, so the answer will vary depending on where you live. In Wisconsin, you can only expunge a misdemeanor.
you have to go before a judge to find out.
This would usually require a pardon which is obtained by petitioning the governor of your state(in the US)
