False, The shot will still work if you are sexually active. If you already have HPV it won't.





Doctors recommend the shot for young girls because it can't protect again HPV if you already have HPV. My doctor said she just gave a 55 year old women the series because the women just got divorced and might want to have sex with new people.

Definitely get your other shots. Having sex does not cause the shot to become invalid. The shot is a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer and HPV. The shot still does work if you have sex in between. But definitely get the other two shots.
A question for your doctor, I'm afraid. The theory is that the vaccine only protects you if you haven't already been exposed to the virus. If you've had sex, its possible you've been exposed.
No you should still get the other shot... Just make sure your using protection!
