you have a long road on the front of you .the feds ,state ,county and city will not let you work for them ,also their subcontractors ,any jobs related to explosive or any restaurants w/ alcohol and bars .time to go the school and learn a trade and be very good at it,plumber ,mechanic. mainly something manual .always mention this during interview or resume ,and explain the mistake you made in the past some peoples will give you a break,if you ever decide to open your business ,many states will not issue a license if you have a felony ,you will have to have someone else name on your business .explain this to your friends ,you may save one from making the same mistake .go talk to a probation officer ,they will help you ,if you are sincere and do not have a attitude. good luck to you .What kind of job do u think i can get with a felony on my record. the felony is for false pretence?
Any kind of a job you want, except for those who's policy is to not hire or even accept applications from felons. These are usually government jobs (fire, police, medical, etc) As a rule it depends upon the state regulations. Some places would still consider hiring people with prior convictions. I know of companies that have. They'll often like to see what things have been done since, as a measure of recompense and improvement, change, and repentance.
My ex husband has a felony and has had no problem getting a job. Some places he has admitted to the felony others, he simply put no. They never would find anything on him. I do remember however one place did. Catch 22, sometimes they will find it on your record other times they might not catch it. But, bottom line, honesty is the best policy... ; ) All the jobs he has had were driver, delivery related...no federal, state, city positions. hope this helps...
